SEPA implementation at Wincor Nixdorf
Wincor Nixdorf offers solutions for capturing and processing of payment transaction documents. Both centrally and locally connected data capture devices are supported. Recognized texts are checked for plausibility according to predefined criteria, incorrect document data is displayed visually, a quick correction is possible via dialog masks. An archival function, a data centre connection, and statistical functions round off the solution.
In this business area, Wincor Nixdorf has already been supported for several years by w3logistics AG from Dortmund. Their task is the continuing development and maintenance of the software solutions employed by Wincor.
Already in 2007, the implementation of the image-based check withdrawal process was successfully completed. At the beginning of this year, the country-wide introduction of SEPA (= Single Euro Payment Area) required substantial additions: The browser-based software for automatic capturing and processing of payment transaction documents was adapted to the additional requirements by BIC and IBAN.
Andreas Neitzel, project manager at Wincor Nixdorf, is very content with the results: "Punctually for January 28th, 2008, the updated system was put into production at our clients. Thus, every participating bank account was automatically turned into a European account."
