Pick-by-light integration at J.D. Neuhaus
New technology used at J.D. Neuhaus: Pick-by-light with a standard projector for all picking stations of the automated warehouse integrated into w3/max
What sounds like a standard logistical process at the first glance, will surely amaze the viewer on a closer examination.
Already about a year ago, J.D. Neuhaus GmbH & Co. KG as world market leader for pneumatically and hydraulically operated hoists and crane systems decided to trust in w3logistics' competencies and replaced their old software with the warehouse management system w3/max.
After twelve months of excellent work carried out by w3/max, a new feature was implemented into the warehouse management system: The visualization of the picking stations was supplemented with a pick-by-light system.
The speciality of this implementation is the fact that the picking stations are not visualized by means of a possibly very expensive pick-by-light system, but just with a standard projector. To accomplish this, data from w3/max is passed through the WMS client to the projector, which directly projects the information onto the trays and illuminates the respective storage compartments colourfully.
"Thanks to w3logistics we were able to increase picking precision and speed in our warehouse substantially. With w3logistics AG, we have a trustful partner at our side, who can efficiently implement our ideas", says the IT project executive at J.D. Neuhaus.
Please call us today and you too will soon be able to make use of the advantages of a projector controlled and cost-efficient version of the pick-by-light technology!
