Successful WMS implementation at Frigosped in Kehl
Frigosped GmbH Internationale Spedition is a logistics company with over 700 employees at 12 locations in Germany and Spain. Since its foundation in 1981, the company has been active throughout Europe in the areas of truck transport, temperature-controlled storage, consulting and value-added services.
After Frigosped had already contracted w3logistics in 2022 to implement the warehouse management system w3/max at its Verden site at the local Frigosped subsidiary FS Logistics GmbH, the next project was the implementation of w3/max at the Kehl site.
The new WMS in Kehl was introduced to make logistics processes more efficient. Interfaces to accounting, document management and the customer web portal were created in order to bring all processes under one system. The aim of the project was to create an overall system as a complete WMS that maps all logistical processes at the site, thereby enabling the optimisation of organisational processes and an increase in process efficiency and reliability. Particularly noteworthy in the project are the connection of the new WMS to cross-docking and the integration of display construction into production.
