Control Motion Electronics relies on w3logistics for digitalisation

CME at Alter Hellweg in Dortmund

Control Motion Electronics GmbH is a service company for the production of highly complex electronic assemblies. CME offers the complete range of services for electronic components and electronic devices, from conception to the finished product. Since its foundation in 2008, the company has stood for uncompromising quality.

To achieve these highest quality goals, a QA software developed in-house is used for the collection of all QA data.

w3logistics AG supports Control Motion Electronics in the maintenance, care and further development of the existing software modules as well as in the creation of new modules.

In order to ensure consistently high quality, CME uses this self-developed software to collect all the important characteristic data of the products in detail, so that this data can later be made available to the customers.

With each new product, additional new data accumulates and the relevant modules are adapted accordingly or, if necessary, newly created. w3logistics also helps the company to design the software more effectively in this important process step. In addition, a joint R&D cooperation project is being launched to further digitalise production.

The production data at Control Motion Electronics is not yet stored centrally everywhere in a uniform data format and even less is exchanged automatically between the individual process steps. Within the framework of the joint funding project, the digitalisation of the production processes will be continued so that the individual processes can communicate with each other more and more effectively, thus ensuring complete traceability. This means that errors in production or material defects can be found more quickly and avoided as far as possible in advance.

This project is funded by the "ZIM" innovation programme of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.

"The cooperation with w3logistics works excellently and has already brought our software significantly forward. We are excited about the further improvements that the joint digitalisation project will bring," says Steffen Katzer, Managing Director of Control Motion Electronics GmbH.
