Kluth stores for Kimberly-Clark with w3/max
At four locations in the Neuss area, the logistics service provider Kluth GmbH stores goods for his customers Kimberly-Clark and SCA – since the end of 2008 supported by the standard warehouse management system w3/max of Dortmund's w3logistics AG.
The main goals for the introduction of a WMS solution were to master the growing throughput and to increase transparency for their customers. Moreover, storage utilization was to be optimised, stock taking accelerated, and the daily business should be made easier for the employees.
"With a large number of references, w3logistics can demonstrate short introduction times, high quality and customer orientation", Jürgen Orth, executive manager of Kluth GmbH, explains the decision in favour of w3/max. The customers, too, were easily convinced – Kimberly-Clark is already working with w3/max at their Polish subsidiary.
The course of the project fully met the high expectations: Between order entry and start of operations only two months elapsed. The start of operations itself took only one single day with stock taking and an automatic import of the current stock levels.
50.000 pallets have already passed through the warehouse during the first three months, and the customers of the Neuss logistics service provider are also satisfied: They have round-the-clock password protected access to their current stock levels via Internet.
