Inventory sampling at MC-Bauchemie
MC-Bauchemie Müller GmbH & Co. KG is one of the leading international manufacturers of construc-tion chemical products and techniques. For more than 60 years, the company has stood for individual solutions for the tempering of concrete as well as for the protection and maintenance of buildings. The family-run company, now in its third generation, orients its business towards long-term perspectives and partnerships. So it is no surprise that the long-standing cooperation with w3logistics AG is also being continued on an ongoing basis. MC-Bauchemie commissioned w3logistics to introduce a random sample inventory in their warehouses operated with w3/max.
The inventory sampling is an inventory simplification procedure in which the stock is determined on the basis of random samples with the help of recognised mathematical-strategic methods.
Since the procedure is a partial census, the process of completely counting the inventory is omitted. Compared to classical stocktaking, the organisational and personnel effort is therefore significantly reduced, which results in a corresponding reduction in costs.
During the implementation, w3logistics AG was again present in every phase of the project to guarantee a smooth integration of the inventory sampling. From the discussions with the auditors and the controller to the instructions and training of the logistics staff of MC-Bauchemie, w3logistics stood by its customer with support.
"The time saved on a sample inventory is enormous. The work that used to take me three days with 15 people, I now manage in one day. For us, it was therefore an important step to further automate our warehouse operations and speed up the processes," says Christoph Stappert, warehouse manager at MC-Bauchemie, about the joint project with w3logistics AG.
