Efficient high-bay warehouse: Sahm optimises processes with w3/max

SAHM in Höhr-Grenzhausen

An important project that w3logistics AG completed this year is the integration of w3/max into the high-bay warehouse of Sahm GmbH & Co. KG. Here are the details of this exciting cooperation:

Sahm, with over 400 employees worldwide, is one of the leading international suppliers of glasses for the beverage industry. The medium-sized, owner-managed company, based in Höhr-Grenzhausen, counts both regional beverage manufacturers and international corporations among its customer base. In addition to modern and innovative glass and decor design, Sahm offers a wide range of services and logistics.

Sahm decided to implement the w3/max software including material flow control. In this context, the existing warehouse management system was completely replaced by the w3logistics solutions, with minimal disruption to ongoing operations.

The integration of w3/max has optimised Sahm's 8-aisle automated high-bay warehouse, improving all processes from goods-in to goods-out. The software offers new features, including the ability to track stock changes in real time, trigger automatic ordering of goods when they fall below a certain threshold, and optimisation of picking locations.

"Switching to the w3/max software was an important step in speeding up our processes in the warehouse to work more efficiently and effectively. In these dynamic times, this is an important aspect of strengthening competitiveness," reports Uwe Sehan, Logistics Manager at Sahm.
