Frigosped increases efficiency with w3/max
Frigosped GmbH Internationale Spedition is a logistics service provider with over 700 employees at 12 locations in Germany and Spain. Founded in 1981, the company is active throughout Europe in the fields of lorry transport, temperature-controlled storage, consulting and value-added services.
Frigosped entrusted w3logistics with the implementation of the warehouse management system w3/max at the Verden site, at the Frigosped subsidiary FS Logistics GmbH located there.
With the implementation of w3/max, the goal of increasing the efficiency of the logistics processes was achieved. The multi-client capable warehouse management system supports any warehouse structure and covers all relevant warehouse processes from goods receipt to goods issue. The interfaces to the ERP systems and special clients of Frigosped were newly programmed, tested and put into operation.
As an additional service, w3logistics in Verden takes over the maintenance and servicing of the implemented warehouse management system in order to maintain operational readiness and to eliminate any problems that arise during operation.
Following the migration of the warehouse management system over a weekend, Frigosped's Managing Director Bernhard Heinrich expressed his thanks as follows: "This work success has a special effect, as the particular complexity in the software implementation was due to us in connection with a system change at our customer. The extraordinary recognition also lies in the fact that this changeover took place at a weekend under the time pressure that our customer's production operations should not be disrupted by this. Many thanks to you and your employees for this."
The co-operation between w3logistics and Frigosped continues after this successful project. The implementation of w3/max is currently underway in Kehl, another Frigosped location. News on this will of course follow.
