Software retrofit at Coldstore Hamm

The Coldstore Group is a long-standing customer of w3logistics AG and uses the Warehouse Management System w3/max at several locations, one of which is Hamm in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Coldstore Hamm GmbH, which was founded in 2003, operates a multifunctional warehouse with a 24-hour service. Thanks to a modern mobile racking system, the company has a capacity of around 17,000 individual pallet spaces spread over 13,000 m². The warehouse management system w3/max from w3logistics has been in use there since 2004 and has thus managed the warehouse for almost 20 years. A packing robot connection was also integrated by w3logistics in the past years.

As part of a software retrofit project, w3/max has now been upgraded to the latest version.

The numerous customer-specific functions, especially document printing, billing, interfaces and connections, were taken over from the old system. With a new design, additional features and improved usability, the old software was brought up to date and customised to meet the client's needs. Historical data can be viewed with an archived old client and functionalities that were no longer needed in the meantime were removed from the system as part of the project.

The data transfer went quickly, so Coldstore Hamm was able to get started with the new system straight away.

"w3logistics is a long-standing partner with whom we can tackle digitisation projects. We are satisfied with w3/max, which is why we have updated the software to the latest version in order to remain future-proof and to further increase our efficiency in the warehouse," reports Holger Schäfer, site manager and authorised signatory of Coldstore Hamm GmbH.
