w3/max S.N.A.P. in operation at Romaco

Damage documentation with w3/max S.N.A.P.

w3logistics AG supports the pharmaceutical company Romaco Pharmatechnik GmbH with the further developed and successfully implemented image documentation solution w3/max S.N.A.P. The Karlsruhe-based company is part of the Romaco Group, one of the world's leading suppliers of packaging and process technology with over 550 employees at nine locations. The company focuses on a wide range of intelligent system solutions tailored specifically to the requirements of pharmaceutical customers.

With the use of w3/max S.N.A.P. Romaco is now taking a further step in digitizing the warehouse. Three modules have been adapted to internal processes and are based on Romaco's specific requirements. Lengthy processes for recording and processing damage cases at incoming goods and correct documentation of cargo securing used to require a great deal of time and effort. This innovative application offers the solution to optimize the workflow.

The shipping of individual machine parts is documented and the article images are uploaded and saved in linked form. Cases of damage to incoming goods can be documented immediately and automatic e-mail notifications are sent to those responsible. If a case of damage occurs, it is now possible to react more quickly to the present case, to get in direct contact with the customer and to present the created article pictures. In addition, the correct securing of the cargo is recorded through the creation of photos and additional entries, for example the number plate of the truck. Finally, all recorded data is stored in the existing DOXIS archiving system and can be further processed. The integration of the processes into the workflow and a high process speed results in enormous time savings.

"With w3/max S.N.A.P. an Industry 4.0 solution could be realized, which convinces by its simple implementation and versatile application. We were able to significantly optimize our logistics and benefit from accelerated processes," says Andrea Fischer, head of the shipping department at Romaco Pharmatechnik GmbH.
